Acne is inflammatory skin disease that is caused by clogging of dead skin cells and oil in the hair follicles. This is a long term skin disease that may leave scars of skin if not treated earlier. It leave spots on multiple parts of human skin including arms, chest, face and legs. 


A report says that 8 out of 10 people face acne issues from age 11 to 23. This skin disorder has been observed on a large scale in teenage boys and girls. Acne can be cured by proper meditation and home remedies.

Most important types of acne are as followed : 

  1. Whiteheads - Whiteheads are caused when your skin has closed skin pores. 
  2. Blackheads - blackheads are caused when you have open skin pores
  3. Pimples - tiny red bumps with white base are pimples
  4. Nodules - large bumps that can be seen easily by the visible eye and feel pain on touching. 

All these types of acne vary from skin to skin as each person has their own immune system and skin tone. 


Human skin pores get oil from oil glands which are deep inside the skin. This oil reaches pores through follicles. The oil liquid that is produced by oil glands and accepted at skin pores in sebum. Now if follicles somehow get blocked, the process of transformation of sebum from oil glands to skin pores is also blocked which results in the growth of pimples which nobody want to have on their skin. 


Symptoms of Acne

Introduction of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, nodules and oil skin are all the symptoms of acne. This is not compulsory to have all these symptoms for acne skin. You have acne skin if you have any of these symptoms because everyone has different skin nature and type according to which acne gets growth.

Acne can be predicted to occur by many factors. Some of these are chemically proved while some are still mystery. Few important causes of acne are mentioned below

Genes - almost 80 to 90% human properties are inherited by genes. If both of your parents or any one of them are suffering from a disease then you also have chances to be affected by that disease. Similarly if both of your parents or any one of them is suffering from acne skin disorder then it would not much wonder if you have the same acne issue because this is all because of genes. 

Diet - A proper healthy diet is very important for everyone. It is important to maintain the balance of oily and dry food for proper proteins and energy of your skin. But if you are a fast food lover then you are more likely to have acne problems in the near future as oily food is responsible for excess oil production which is the main source of acne disease. 

Stress - mental stress may also be responsible for acne production as people don’t eat if passing through tensions and stress. 

Infection - infection can also cause acne problems. This is because of the introduction of infection to bacterial substances. Anaerobic bacteria is the type of bacteria which causes Cutibacterium acnes.

  1. Corticosteroid injection
  2. Oral antibiotics
  3. Oral contraceptives
  4. Topical antimicrobials
  5. Isotretinoin

  1. Be habitual of washing 2 times a day with warm water and acne specified soap or face wash. 
  2. Avoid touching the skin if facing the issue.
  3. Try not to rub the towel on your face after washing.
  4. Try to wear cotton and open clothes if this disease contains your chest or back and all those areas which are mostly covered.  
  5. Don’t eat oily food. 
  6. Avoid as much sun exposure as you can as it may increase the oil production.
